CROOKSTON GIRLS FINISH 10TH, BOYS FINISH 11TH AT CONCORDIA

The Crookston Pirate Boys and Girls Track teams were back in Moorhead as they competed in the Pine To Prairie Meet Meet at Concordia College. The Pirate Girls finished 10th out of 12 teams, which was won by Barnesville. The Pirate Boys finished 11th out of 12 teams, and East Grand Forks edged Minnewaska Area by 10 points.

GIRLS –
Ashlyn Bailey had a pair of impressive performances on the track, taking 5th place in the 55-meter dash with a time of 8.01 and getting 4th place in the 200 meters with a 29.04. The 4×400 relay team also took 7th place with a time of 5:02.29. The 4×200 relay team took 10th place with a time of 2:05.51. Nora Groven finished 10th in the pole vault. Katie Seaver took 13th in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 11.88. Naomi Johnson finished 14th in the shot put. 

BOYS –
Peter Wiersma had a strong high jump, taking third place. Makoti Weber got sixth place in the pole vault. The 4×200 relay team took 12th place with a time of 1:50.86. Jayden Mulvey finished in 9th place for the 1600 meters and also took 10th in the 800 meters. Kahnen Hansen finished in 11th during the 1600 meters. Peter Wiersma continued his impressive day with a 12th-place finish in the long jump. The Pirates finished 12th in the 4×200 relay with a time of 1:50.86. 

The Pirates will be back in action next Friday at the East Grand Forks meet.
