The Crookston City Council will meet Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Crookston City Hall Council Chambers. A closed session will first take place at 6:30 to discuss Labor negotiations, and a Ways & Means Meeting will take place right after City Council.
There will be Mayoral Proclamation to declare August 25, 2021, Jeannine Windels day. Windels was the CEO of the Crookston Area Chambers of Commerce for 13 years and a 30-year member of the Crookston Lions.
The consent agenda includes the approval of the August 9 meeting minutes and three separate resolutions. The first to approve City of Crookston bills and disbursements in the amount of $303,752.53. The next two to approve partial payment estimates for the 2021 local and federal funded street improvements.
A public hearing will be held on the support for a New Flyer of America, Inc. Expansion with Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and Minnesota Investment Fund Incentive (MIF) programs.
The regular agenda includes a resolution to approve the support for a New Flyer of America, Inc. Expansion with Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and Minnesota Investment Fund Incentive (MIF) programs.
The agenda also includes approving the Crookston Inn for Dispensing and Consumption of Intoxicating Liquor on their premises. There will be a resolution to approve the MNDOT joint powers contract for professional and technical services. There will also be a resolution to approve an ice time agreement with the Crookston Blue Line Club.
Then there will be a resolution to approve a Park and Recreation purchase of a Ventrac slope mower, a resolution to approve authorization to execute the MNDOT Grant agreement for airport improvement, and a resolution to approve a letter of intent with Epitome Energy.
The last few resolutions will be a resolution to approve a revised land option agreement with Epitome Energy, a resolution to approve a variance for Our Lady of Sorrows Church and their expansion project, and a resolution to approve a conservation reserve program contract.
The Ways and Means committee meeting is all budget-related. The six budgets that will be discussed during the meeting are
