Crookston City Council and Ways and Means Committee to meet tonight

The Crookston City Council and Ways and Means Committee will meet tonight (Monday, April 20) at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.

The meeting will start with two Mayoral Proclamations for Mental Health Awareness Month and Community Action Month.

The consent agenda includes the approval of the meeting minutes from April 6, bills and disbursements for $492,441.74, a conditional use permit, a variance request, and preliminary and final replat drawing for the Nature View twin homes. The agenda will also include the approval of the Crookston Fire Fighters Association contract, 2026 gas fitting, and cement mason license renewals.

The regular agenda includes a resolution approving an engineering study for the Crookston Community Pool and a resolution to close City Hall on Fridays at 11:00 a.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

The Ways and Means Committee has two items on the agenda, including a discussion of the Mayor’s recommendation to appoint John Thorp to the CHEDA Board. The second item on the agenda will be a City Administrator performance review and that portion will be closed to the public.
