Crookston City Council and Ways and Means to meet Monday (12-15)

The Crookston City Council meets Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. at the Crookston City Hall Council Chambers.

CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL
The consent agenda includes the approval of the Truth-in-Taxation meeting minutes from December 1, bills and disbursements for $774,112.20, approval of the 2026 Lake Agassiz Regional Library budget contribution for the City of Crookston, entering into a grant contract agreement for the Violent Crime Enforcement Teams, approval of the amended and restated joint powers agreement for the Pine to Prairie Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.
The council will also be asked to approve the 2026 Tobacco and Liquor licenses, the City Council and Ways and Means, designating the 2026 election precinct polling locations, and the approval of payment for the 2025 windcone replacement project at the Crookston Municipal airport.

There will be a public hearing regarding the City of Crookston’s municipal consent for the Downtown State Project (downtown sidewalk project)

The regular agenda includes the consent for the previously listed Downtown State Project (downtown sidewalk project), authorizing submission of Business Development Public Infrastructure grant application to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) for the Crookston Industrial Park Infrastructure expansion project, and approval of the contract with interim City Administrator Darin Selzler’s contract.

CROOKSTON WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE
The Crookston Ways and Means Committee will meet after the council meeting and the agenda items are a presentation on the Casey’s property housing development, Farmer’s Union Industries grant request for phase two of the rail spur for an easement discussion, a housing incentive discussion that expires December 31, 2025, and a city administrator search discussion.
