The Crookston City Council will have a special meeting at 5:15 p.m. Monday to appoint Wendy Ault to fill the Ward 5 council seat vacancy.
The regular Crookston City Council meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.
The Consent Agenda will ask the council to approve City of Crookston Bills and Disbursements for $554,869.64, a donation from American Crystal Sugar Company to the Crookston Fire Department. The board will approve resolutions regarding Bank Authority to United Valley Bank and Bremer Bank, amending the employment of Jeff Shoobridge as Crookston City Administrator as the effective starting date of July 8, 2024. The council will also be asked to appoint election judges for the Primary and General Elections in 2024, a partial pay estimate two for 2024 street improvements, and a special event permit for Night to Unite.
The Main agenda includes the second and final reading of amending the alcohol ordinance, the City of Crookston Fee schedule for 2024, a grant application to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) regarding support for the Red River Valley Shows grounds redevelopment grant and application. The council will be asked to approve the purchase of an HVAC system for the Valley Technology Park, a variance for Otter Tail Power Company’s solar panel array at 1590 Carroll Street, a conditional use permit for a Tobacco Store at 1504 University Avenue, and amendment of AWOS relocation and replacement project at the Crookston Airport.
