CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL TO LOOK AT ENDING THE CHEDA AT ITS MEETING ON MONDAY

Crookston City Council

The Crookston City Council will meet on Monday, May 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Crookston City Council Chambers in the lower level of Crookston City Hall.

There is a resolution calling a public hearing on the question of Rescission of the enabling resolutions concerning the Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority and to dissolve the Crookston Housing and Economic Authority.  The City of Crookston would take over all CHEDA activities.

Another resolution is the calling for a public hearing on the question of the need for a housing and redevelopment authority to function in the City of Crookston.

The final item on the regular agenda is an ordinance authorizing and creating a community development department.

Other items on the agenda are the restructure and operating efficiency update, a resolution to approve the rehabilitation loan program deferred loan repayment agreement and mortgage satisfaction, and the approval of the limited use permit for the Welcome to Crookston signage at two locations in Crookston.

The consent agenda includes the approval of the City Council meeting minutes from May 10, and the payment of bills and disbursements in the amount of $186,144.50.
