The Crookston City Council will meet Monday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall. The Ways & Means Committee will meet immediately following the conclusion of City Council.
The Crookston City Council has one item on their main agenda, a resolution to appoint Chris Plante to fill the vacant Ward 6 seat. Plante was on the agenda to be appointed on November 14, but a vote was tabled after Councilman Clayton Briggs said he had unspecified questions he wanted to be answered before voting. The consent agenda includes approving the October 14 minutes, approving bills and disbursements totaling $288,864.17, and a resolution to approve monetary limits insurance through the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust. Also included is a resolution for a gambling premise permit for American Legion Post #20 at VFW Post #1902.
The Ways & Means Committee agenda includes approving the October 14 meeting report, a presentation from M&H, and a proposal for residential trash and recycling collection services. Also included are discussions on custodial services for the City of Crookston, the appointment process for City Council vacancies, and a review of LED lighting quotes.
