The Crookston City Council will meet Monday, January 25 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting will open with the swearing-in of police officers Cody Bannert and Michael Moreno.
The regular agenda includes the introduction of an ordinance amending the City Code, Chapter 52, entitled “Sewer Services regarding 51.16 – Discharges of unpolluted drainage. There are also two resolutions to purchase vehicles for the Crookston Police Department. One would be an investigative vehicle and one squad car.
The consent agenda includes approving the January 11 City Council meeting minutes, approving bills and disbursements totaling $228,730.58, accepting the engineer’s report for 2021 street improvements and calling for a public hearing, a resolution to waive sewer charges for residents flooding ice rinks or pools during the pandemic, approving the renewal of gas fitting and cement mason licenses, approving the City of Crookston pay equity report for 2020, accept a bid for the sale of the 110 Lincoln Ave property. The final two items are approving City Council committee assignments, and appointing candidates to boards or commissions. All the proposed appointments are listed here.
The Ways & Means Committee meeting will consist of an overview and subsequent discussion of the City of Crookston’s calendar parking policy with Police Chief Paul Biermaier and Public Works Director Pat Kelly.
