CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL, WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE TO MEET MONDAY

The Crookston City Council will meet Monday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.  The consent agenda includes approving the August 26 meeting minutes, approving bills and disbursements totaling $221,971.61, approving amended and restated Joint Power Agreement for the Pine to Prairie Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.  Also included are resolutions to declare “surplus property” and authorize city staff to dispose, to approve surplus equipment donation to Many Point Scout Camp, and to call for a public hearing on a business subsidy agreement for APG Development.

The main agenda consists of a resolution declaring the adequacy of a petition and ordering the preparation of a report.  And a resolution adopting the proposed 2020 tax levy and preliminary general fund budget while setting a pubic budget meeting date.

The Ways & Means Committee agenda includes approving the August 26 and September 4 meeting reports, selecting the interview committee for the open Ward 6 council seat, and an ordinance regarding distillery, brewpubs, growlers, and microbreweries. Also included in the potential sale of an unbuildable parcel #82.01372.00, and about sending out requests for proposals seeking residential sanitation services from private contractors.
