The Crookston City Council will meet Monday, May 11 at 7:00 p.m. There will be limited seating available due to COVID-19 guidelines. The public may participate in the public forum by phone by calling 281-4515.
There will also be two Mayoral Proclamations. The first will declare May 10-16 as National Skilled Nursing Care Week, the second will declare May as Community Action Month. All other items are on the consent agenda and include approving past meeting minutes, approving bills and disbursements totaling $335,597.45, a resolution to submit an application for additional IRP loan funds, and a resolution to approve the land option agreement with Epitome Energy, LLC.
The Ways & Means Committee will meet immediately following the City Council meeting. The agenda includes reviewing the letter from the Crookston Area Chamber requesting to terminate its agreement with the City of Crookston to provide administrative services to the Crookston Visitor’s Bureau, discussion on continuing the expired New Construction Housing Incentive Program to abate taxes on new homes, a COVID-19 preparedness plan to reopen city hall, a request by the University of Minnesota Extension for the City of Crookston to participate, along with Hallock and Warren, in a project proposal for a Design for Community Regeneration grant.
