The Crookston City Council will meet Monday, October 12 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. There is one item on the main agenda, to a resolution to approve $176,043.45 in CARES Act Small Business grants.
The consent agenda includes approving the September 28 meeting minutes, approving bills and disbursements totaling $311,312.30, accepting a donation from Nancy Halstenson in memory of Rich Halstenson, a resolution to purchase livestreaming equipment for Valley Tech Park, and to approve a conditional use permit for a licensed child care facility.
The Ways & Means Committee will meet immediately following City Council. The agenda includes a presentation from MNDOT on a downtown Crookston reconstruction from the Minnesota Department of Transportation and their request for the City of Crookston to participate and lead the preliminary design and plan. The committee will also discuss a request for assistance from the Downtown Crookston Development Partnership (DCDP) to get a permit for lighting the Robert St Bridge, as well as to provide the DCDP with $75,000.
The final item on the agenda is to decertify Tax Increment Finance (TIF) District 3-7, which has received the maximum amount of principal TIF funding allowed.
