The Crookston City Council will hold its Truth In Taxation Meeting on Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. That will be followed by the regular council meeting at 7:00 p.m.
The regular agenda includes the second reading of an amended franchise fee ordinance with Otter Tail Power Company and the second reading of an amended franchise fee ordinance with Red Lake Electric Cooperative. There are three resolutions, to adopt the 2020 Property Tax Levy, to adopt the 2020 budget, and to approve the five-year Capital Improvement Plan.
The consent agenda includes approving the November 25 meeting minutes, approving City of Crookston bills and disbursements totaling $387,723.37, the purchase of a truck for the park and recreation department, and approving an amended severance contract with the City Administrator. Also included is approving the 2020 calendar of regular City Council meetings, 2020 liquor licenses and a dance permit for UMC’s Ag-O-Rama on January 25, 2020, at the Crookston Eagles with the band “Copperhead Creek”.
