Crookston Clay Target team moves up to 5th place

The Crookston Pirate Clay Target team had a great second week of competition, turning in the second-best score in the conference and moving up from seventh to fifth place. They are now within 170 points of second place. “We had another great day weather-wise for shooting.  I think the students started to feel some pressure of competition this week.  They were a little tense with their shooting. There was also a lot of getting into their heads after they missed birds,” said Coach Randy Prudhomme. “However, they all did a great job this week.  As a team, we jumped up to 5th place.  We had a few younger students stay the same, which is a good sign that they are now being consistent.  Now we can really start fine-tuning and start getting the scores to go up.  We still had quite a few students in the top 25 for our conference.”
