CROOKSTON EARLY CHILDHOOD INITIATIVE RECEIVES CHECK FROM MASONIC LODGE

The Crookston Masonic Lodge recently presented a check for $1,060 to the Crookston Early Childhood Initiative, marking a significant contribution to the organization’s endeavors.

This donation, sourced from proceeds generated at the Masonic Lodge’s free-will breakfast in April, was further bolstered by a generous contribution from Minnesota Masonic Charities.

The Crookston Early Childhood Initiative is a collaborative effort sponsored by the Northwest Minnesota Foundation involving community leaders, early childhood professionals, and parents. Together, they spearhead projects to benefit young children (birth to five) and their families in Crookston.

At the initiative’s core lies a vision to provide young children and their families with access to supportive opportunities that enable them to love, learn, and thrive. This ethos underpins the various annual projects the initiative implements and the launch of new initiatives to further its mission.

Among the ongoing projects is the “Little House of Books,” strategically located in five areas throughout Crookston: the Crookston Sports Center, Castle Park, Evergreen Park, Landslide Park, and the Ray Ecklund Sports Complex. These locations offer valuable resources to the community, especially during the summer months, fostering early literacy and enrichment opportunities for children.
