CROOKSTON EMERGENCY STORM SHELTER OPEN AT 124 N BROADWAY

The Crookston emergency storm shelter at 124 North Broadway (City Hall) is now closed.  The storm shelter will be reopened if needed throughout the night. 

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 10:45 p.m. for western Polk County, Pennington County, Red Lake Lake County, and eastern Marshall County.  The storm is producing wind gusts up to 60 MPH and nickel size hail.  Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.  

Cities impacted include Crookston, Thief River Falls, Red Lake Falls, Newfolden, Plummer, St. Hilaire, and Goodridge.  For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of the building.
