CROOKSTON FIGURE SKATING CLUB PRESENTS THE 2020 DREAMS ON ICE THIS WEEKEND

Figure Skating will take over the Crookston Sports Center this weekend with the 2020 Dreams on Ice presented by the Crookston Figure Skating Club.  Shows are at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, and 2:00 p.m. at the Crookston Sports Center with the theme of “The Fabulous 50’s.”  The doors will open one hour before each show.  Admission is $6 for adults, seniors and students are $4.  A family weekend wristband is $25.

Overall about 100 skaters are involved in the Crookston Figure Skating Club and this year will include a special presentation of a gold jacket to Breanna Kressin, who becomes just the second member in the club’s history to be recognized as a gold medalist by the United States Figure Skating Association. “This year our ages range from ages 2 to 18,” said Ericka Uttermark, Crookston Figure Skating Club Head Coach. “We have five seniors this season who are Kathryn Halos, Audrey Harbott, Kaydin Brule, Eliza Meyer, and Emily Gillette, so we’re excited for them.  At this year’s show, we’re also going to honor Brianna Kressin who became a USFSA Gold Medalist in December which is the highest honors from the United States Figure Skating Association.  She passed her test, so we will give her the gold medalist jacket and honor her.  She is only the second skater in our club history to receive that acknowledgment.”
