CROOKSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT HOSTS PROGRAM IN REMEMBRANCE OF 9-11

In remembrance of the 20th anniversary of the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York City on September 11, 2001, The Crookston Fire Department held a small program for all first responders and their families on Saturday morning outside the main fire station.

The program featured Crookston Fire Chief Tim Froeber with the introduction, Bill Cassavant with the invocation, Kailey Mykleseth singing the national anthem, a moment of silence at 8:59 a.m., and a closing prayer from Elaine Metzger.

The event was in honor of all those who gave their lives and their families who lost loved ones. The Crookston Fire Department will have displays up the rest of the weekend at the main station and north station in remembrance of the tragic events on September 11. Below are photos from the program this morning.
