CROOKSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT REMINDS YOU TO CHANGE BATTERIES, UPDATE DETECTORS

This weekend clocks fall back one hour with the end of daylight savings time.  Crookston Firefighter Brian Hanson also reminds us this weekend is a good time to check batteries and replace older fire and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors. “On November 3 we will be changing our clocks back for daylight savings,” said Hanson.  “Along with doing this, it is a great time to change the batteries in our smoke detectors and CO detectors.  While you’re looking at these if your smoke detector is 10 years old or older you replace it, even if it is working.  The same goes for CO detectors.”

Don’t forget to reset your clocks before going to bed Saturday night.
