CROOKSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT’S ADOPT-A-HYDRANT PROGRAM IS STILL GOING ON

The Crookston Fire Department would like to remind the public to consider adopting a local neighborhood fire hydrant today. This year, they will be handing out prizes to a few lucky winners who have adopted a hydrant. The only way to be entered for this contest is to call the CFD and adopt a hydrant near you.

The Crookston Fire Department would also like to remind the public to help out Firefighters by removing snow from around the fire hydrants in front of or near your homes this winter. In an emergency, every second counts, so remove any snow and ice from the hydrant and make a 3-foot perimeter wide enough to walk around and to please clear a path from the hydrant to the street.

To adopt a hydrant, you just have to follow the link: ckn.mn/hydrant, find a hydrant you would like to adopt, and call the Fire Department at 218-281-4584 to let them know the location of the hydrant.
