The Crookston Firefighters Association announces the 2026 Crookston Firefighters Association Memorial Scholarship Award.
The scholarship honors all past members of the Crookston Firefighters Association who are no longer with us today and is made possible through the Association’s charitable gaming and community donations.
The firefighters rely on charitable gaming to fund their life-saving equipment. A portion of those proceeds is also given to local nonprofits with an emphasis on youth activities. The firefighters are deeply grateful for the generosity of the community, including memorial contributions made in honor of loved ones.
The Crookston Firefighters Association will distribute one $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship is for a graduating high school senior residing in the City of Crookston or one of the townships served by the Crookston Firefighters Association. The townships they serve are Crookston, Roome, Eldred, Euclid, Belgium, Fanny, Parnell, Lowell, Andover, Fairfax, Gentilly, Kertsonville, Hammond, and Russia. Applicants must plan to attend a two-year community college or four-year college or university. Applications must be received by the Association no later than April 15, 2026.
