The annual pancake breakfast at the Crookston Fire Department’s main station had a different feel as people picked up their pancakes and sausage to go Friday morning. Even with the changes, firefighter Garrett Bengston said it was pretty steady all morning. “I feel it was a very big success for being the inaugural year of doing this distancing,” said Bengston. “It went very well, was very happy with it. Pretty steady for the most part. We started off a little bit slow but it picked up and the town really came in, so it was awesome.”
The Firefighters received help from the Miss Crookston candidates, Latter-Day Saints and the Crookston Rotary said, Bengston. “I thank everybody that was a part of it,” said Bengston. “Everybody at the station, we also had the Rotary assist. Latter-Day Saints girls helped and Miss Crookston girls as well. Everybody helped out and it was great.”
