Tonight’s Crookston Pirate Girls Hockey game against Mandan scheduled to be played in Mayville has been cancelled because Mandan couldn’t make it. The Crookston Girl’s Hockey team won their third game of the season on Tuesday night in a thrilling overtime goal by Catherine Tiedemann to beat Park Rapids 3-2 and improve the Pirates record to 3-13-1 on the season. Crookston will be playing two North Dakota teams this weekend starting with the Mandan Braves in a game that will be play in Mayville, North Dakota. Crookston and Mayville-Portland have a cooperative agreement for girl’s hockey, so the Pirates will be playing their second game of the year in Mayville. Mandan is 3-1 on the year and have been off for a week since they were beaten 7-1 in Bismarck. Game time later this afternoon is 5:00 PM at the Kim-Braaten Ice Arena. The Pirates will finish off the weekend playing Jamestown for the third time this season tomorrow afternoon in Jamestown and tomorrow’s game will be on KROX RADIO.
