The Crookston Pirate Girl’s Swimmer’s used four first-place finishes to earn a second-place finish in the Thief River Falls Quadrangular hosted in Thief River Falls.

Crookston was led by a pair of first-place finishes from Mackenzie Aamoth who won both the 100-meter butterfly and 100-meter backstroke. Madison Hoiland won the Pirate’s third individual event with a first-place finish in the 100-meter breaststroke. The Pirates continued their strong performances in the relay events as Fallon Johnson, Mackenzie Aamoth, Claire Oman, and Madison Hoiland combined for a time of 4:34.27 in the 400-meter freestyle relay winning the event. Madison Hoiland earned Crookston’s lone second-place finish in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 27.49. The Pirates’ 200-meter medley relay team consisting of Mackenzie Aamoth, Madison Hoiland, Claire Oman, and Fallon Johnson took third place with a time of 2:21.53. Claire Oman earned a third-place finish in the 200-meter IM with a time of 2:50.18 while Fallon Johnson added a third-place finish in the 500-meter freestyle with a time of 2:50.18.
Crookston returns to the pool on Friday, October 25 when the Pirates host the North Border Conference Meet.
