The Crookston Gun Club will host a DNR Hunter Safety Training class for ages 11 and older starting on August 20 and ending with a Field Day and test on Saturday, August 31.
Youth hunters and those planning on hunting out of Minnesota are required to have a Firearm Safety Training Certificate. Also, any kid planning on being on the Clay Target/Trap Shooting team needs to complete the class.

The Safety Training Class is sponsored and conducted by the Crookston Gun Club, West Polk County Deer Hunters Association, Bingham Construction, B&F Investments, United Valley Bank, Adams Heating and Cooling, Crookston Eagles Club, Crookston VFW, Crookston American Legion, Longtin Insurance, Noah Insurance, and B&E Meats.
Classes will be held at the Crookston Gun Club at 26251 240th Street SW, Crookston, MN 56716.
