Crookston High School sent out a video to Crookston High School seniors and their parents today with an update on graduation and prom.
Graduation is still planned for May 22 at the Crookston Sports Center with social distancing. “We are waiting for the updated guidelines from the governor and Minnesota Department of Education to see if this will be allowed,” said Crookston High School Principal Eric Bubna.
Prom is re-scheduled for Thursday, July 23, with a decision date of July 1.
If graduation cannot happen on May 22, they would re-schedule the ceremony for Saturday, July 25 so parents can block off one weekend for both Prom and graduation. “An event of some kind will still be held on May 22 and we will seek input from seniors and their parents about what they would like to see,” said Principal Bubna.
