CROOKSTON HIGH SCHOOL SPEECH TEAM HAS STRONG FIRST MEET

Members of the Crookston High School Speech Team participated in their first meet of the season on January 26 in Fergus Falls where they competed against students from 20 schools and 254 entries across 13 categories.  The meet consisted of two preliminary rounds.  The top eight finishers from their combined preliminary results then moved on to the final round (overall places 1-8) or the honor’s final (overall places 9-16).

Ben Brantner participated in Discussion and Emily Gillette participated in Orgininal History.
The team is pleased to welcome four new students this year:  Jocelyn Midboe, Elizabeth Helgeson, Ed Luckow, and Isaac Wandrie who will participate at the Speech Meet in DGF on February 7.
The Team is coached by Phyllis Hagen (Head Coach), Colleen MacRae (Assistant Coach) and Gaye Wick (Coach).
