On Thursday, February 22, Crookston hosted a JV Speech Meet for students in grades 7-9. Leah Johanneck received first place in original oratory, as did Lily Olmstead in storytelling. Ivan Luckow received third place in discussion. For a JV meet, students in grades 10-12 are often judges. CHS Speech students Jaden Newquist, Ciaran Mulvey, and Zachariah Plante were judges for the tournament.
The team now competes in Bemidji’s varsity tournament on Saturday
