Crookston Just For Kix ended their competition season last weekend in Wahpeton, North Dakota with their first in-person completion in over a year. Every Crookston Just For Kix team placed bringing home some major hardware. “This competition was super exciting for us because parents were finally able to watch the kids compete in person and not watch through a YouTube link. Not having a crowd cheering for you makes performing tough and our parents were extra loud which hyped the kids and it showed on the dance floor. Kicks were higher, faces were huge, and overall every team looked like they were having a blast,” said Coach Grace Espinosa. “There was a point during our high school hip hop team where I sat back in the chair and just thought “wow” after a year of not competing I was overwhelmed with joy watching the kids do what they work so hard for. Our coaches couldn’t be more proud of the dancers and were so thankful for the dance families involved in our program.”
Crookston Just For Kix will be having a Spring Show in Crookston on May 22.
