CROOKSTON JUST FOR KIX COMPETES IN NATIONALS IN ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA

The Crookston Just For Kix Program recently competed at the Together We Dance Nationals Competition in Rochester, Minnesota. The event was held at the Mayo Civic Center on May 5th – 8th. Teams from seven States (CO, IA, IL, MN, ND, NE, SD) traveled to compete over the weekend with their team and individual routines. 

The weekend kicked off with the Solo, Duet, and Small Group competitions Friday. A total of 555 dancers competed in 395 routines over the two days.

The 9th annual Senior Showcase was also on Friday. This is a competition for Kick and Hip Hop teams with an average grade of 7.5 – 12th. The teams are broken into divisions based on the size of their program. For Hip Hop, there were two divisions, A – which consisted of 22 teams, and AA with 17 teams. A total of 781 dancers competed in the 2022 Hip Hop Showcase. Kick Showcase, for the first year, had three divisions. In A, 14 teams competed, AA had 16, and AAA had 17 teams for a total of 921 dancers competing this year in the three divisions.
