Crookston Man Arrested On Assault

On Sunday, August 19, at approximately 2:05 a.m., the Crookston Police Department was dispatched to 223 North Main Street on a report of a man unconscious. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim; Morgan Terpstra, age 26 of Crookston, who was conscious at that time. Witnesses provided information that indicated Tyler Erdmann, age 36 of Crookston had gotten into an argument with Terpstra, that Erdmann restricted Terpstra’s airway causing Terpstra to become unconscious.
Terpstra was treated medically at the scene and later at RiverView Hospital. At the scene Officers also made contact with Erdmann who was cooperative. Erdmann was arrested and transported to the Northwest Regional Corrections Center. He was subsequently charged with 3rd Degree Assault. The investigation is active.
