Adam David Shaul, 36 of Crookston, has been charged with felony attempted murder, felony 1st-degree assault, felony 3rd-degree assault, threats of violence and domestic assault by strangulation stemming for a January 24 incident in Crookston.
On January 24 at 3:42 p.m., Crookston Police responded to an assault call on Robert Street in Crookston. Officers found the victim on the floor bleeding from a laceration below her left eye and reported she had blood in her hair, on her neck, chest and upper back. There was also blood on the floor, a napkin, a chair and covering a pillow. The victim stated Shaul hit and choked her to unconsciousness and may have hit her after she was unconscious. Three children were in the home at the time of the incident.
Shaul has an initial court appearance scheduled for Tuesday, February 12 at 9:00 a.m. in Polk County Court.
