CROOKSTON PARKS AND REC RELEASES FUNFINDER FOR FALL AND WINTER ACTIVITIES

Crookston Parks and Recreation has released its Fall and Winter edition of Fun Finder.

The Fun Finder catalog is released twice a year, the first in April of each year to list the activities and registration information for Spring and Summer activities and the second in August to list the Fall and Winter activities.

“We put out a Fun Finder for the different seasons that we offer for our youth programming, the Crookston Pool,” said Parks and Recreation Director Jake Solberg. “This is everything that we offer to the community.” The Fun Finder is in a packet format set up on the Crookston Parks and Rec website; all activities are open for registration. Children can also find this information during school. “We also make a little flyer that we send to the schools, and these flyers have basic information,” said Solberg, “They can find what we’re offering so kids can put them in their backpacks and bring them home from school.”

Last year Crookston Parks and Rec joined with the Greater Grand Forks Youth Football League, which offers many options for children and families, “They offer flag football for Kindergarten through sixth grade, rookie tackle football third and fourth grade, and tackle football fifth and sixth grade,” said Solberg. To register, you must visit the Greater Grand Forks football website and follow the registration instructions.

Other Fall and Winter activities for the youth include-
Girls Volleyball and Traveling Volleyball, Crookston Community Pool activities Mini Mites Hockey, 8U hockey, pewee hockey, bantam hockey, and the Blue Line Club, Figure Skating, and Wresting for ages kindergarten through sixth grade.

Fall and Winter activities for adults include-
Co-Ed turf volleyball and a women’s volleyball league, Men’s hockey league, pickle ball, and the UMC TeamBackers Community Curling League.
