Crookston Pirate Boys Golf finish 8th at TRF Invite

The Crookston Pirate Boys Golf team finished eighth out of nine teams at the Thief River Falls Invite on Friday at the Thief River Falls golf club. Crookston shot a 339 while East Grand Forks won the meet with a 305, nine strokes better than Thief River Falls.
Crookston’s Garrett Fischer tied East Grand Forks’ Gavin Rude with a 72 for medalist honors. The two played a playoff hole, and Fischer won the hole to be the official medalist.

Garrett Fisher, a junior, shot a even par 72. He recorded four birdies, 10 pars, and four bogies to finish first place.
Tate Hamre, a junior, shot an 84. He carded a birdie, seven pars, eight bogies, one double bogey, and one triple bogey to finish 25th place.
Evan Shockman, a junior, shot an 89. He turned in six pars, seven bogies, and five double bogies to finish 36th place.
David Dauksavage, a junior, shot a 94. He carded two pars, 10 bogies, and six double bogies to finish 47th place.
Collin Trudeau, a freshman, shot a career best 102. He recorded three pars, seven bogies, three double bogies, three triple bogies, and two quadruple bogies to finish 52nd.

Crookston will play at the Roseau Invitational on Saturday.
