The Crookston Pirate Boys golf team started the season, finishing ninth out of 11 teams at the Detroit Lakes Early Bird Invitational at Lakeview Golf Club in Detroit Lakes. Crookston shot 329 as a team, and it was won by Detroit Lakes as they fired 272, 12 strokes better than Fargo Davies.
GARRETT FISCHER-
The sophomore shot 72, which was eight over par and good enough for 13th. Fischer had two birdies, eight birdies, seven bogeys, and one triple bogey.
BRANNON TANGQUIST-
The senior shot 84. He had seven pars, five bogeys, three double bogeys, and three triple bogeys.
EVAN SHOCKMAN-
The sophomore shot 86. He had four pars, six bogeys, six double bogeys, and one triple.
ASHTON SHOCKMAN-
The senior shot 87. He had one birdie, four pars, five bogeys, five double bogeys, and three triple bogeys.
DAVID DAUKSAVAGE-
The sophomore shot 94. He had four pars, five bogeys, six double bogeys, two quadruple bogeys, and a quintuple bogey.
