Crookston Pirate Boys Golf finish 17th at 2-day Cardinal/Wildcat Invite

The Crookston Pirate Boys Golf team shot a first round 421 at the Little Crow Country Club in Spicer and a 388 at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Willmar for an 809 and finished 17th place out of 17 teams at the Willmar Cardinal/New London Spicer Wildcat invitational.
Lakeville South won the invite with a 619, two strokes better than Bemidji. The medalist was Lakeville South’s Oliver Theel. The freshman shot a one over par 145. Crookston’s top golfer was Garrett Fischer with a 167.

Garrett Fisher, a senior, shot an 85 and 82 for a 167 for 28th place. At Spicer, Garrett carded two birdies, six pars, six bogies, three double bogies, and one triple bogey. At Willmar, he had two birdies, eight pars, five bogies, two double bogies, and one triple bogey.
Evan Shockman, a senior, shot a 98 and 87 for a 185 for 73rd place. At Spiecer, he recorded four pars, seven bogies, three double bogies, three triple bogies, and one quadruple bogey. At Willmar, he had six pars, nine bogies, and three double bogies.
David Dauksavage, a senior, shot a 102 and 96 for a 198, good for 93rd place. At Spicer, he shot two pars, seven bogies, six double bogies, one triple bogey, and two quadruple bogies. At Willmar, he shot four pars, seven bogies, five double bogies, one triple and one quadruple bogey.
Tony Elbinger, a senior, shot a 136 and a 124 for a 260 for 102nd place. At Spicer, he carded one bogey, seven doubles, two triples, one quadruple bogey, and had seven holes with some bigger numbers. At Willmar, he made one par, three bogies, two double bogies, six triples, three five over pars, and one six over par.
Collin Trudeau, a sophomore, shot a 142 and 123 for 103rd place. At Spicer, he recorded three bogies, four triple bogies, four quadruple bogies, and had seven holes with some bigger numbers. At Willmar, he recorded on par, two bogies, one double bogey, nine triples, and five quadruple bogies.

Crookston’s next round will be the pre-section meet at Bemidji Town and County on Wednesday.
