CROOKSTON PIRATE FINE ARTS BOOSTERS HAND OUT MONEY TO SEVERAL PROGRAMS

The Crookston Pirate Fine Arts Booster (PFAB) Club met recently and approved grant requests Funded that were funded on November 11, 2020.  The Pirate Fine Arts Boosters will work to promote, support, and help fund the various fine arts programs in the Crookston Public Schools.
PFAB Board member Jim Kent said, “We continue to be thankful to live in a community that supports the arts in this way.  It has made a huge difference in the lives of our public school students and teachers.”

The grant awards are listed below –

High School Art  – $550
Acrylic paint, clay and classroom materials

Jr. High School Art – $2,653
Clay, colored pencil sets, water color sets, other classroom materials,  Potter’s wheel

Orchestra  – $1,500
¾ size violins, 14” violas, method books

Band – $1,882
Technique and ensemble books

Auditorium  – $1,400
Fresnel spotlights, microphones and cables

Speech   – $850
Assistant speech position

Total  $8,835
