The Crookston Pirate Girl’s Golf team shot 377 in the first round on Monday and shot 373 on Tuesday for a two-round total of 750 to finish third place at the Section 8A Golf Tournament at the Town and Country Club in Bemidji. Crookston’s Joslynn Leach shot a two-round total of 172 to finish fifth place individually and will advance back to the state Class AA Girls Golf Tournament in Jordan next week. Kaleb Thinglestad shot a two-round total of 164 to finish tied for 16th place.
GIRLS
The Pirate girls shot a second-round score of 373 for a two-day total of 750 which was good for fourth place.
Crookston was led by Joslyn Leach, as the senior shot a second-round score of 83 which bested her score of 89 in the first round for a two-day total of 172. She had two birdies, seven pars, six bogies, two double bogies, and one triple.
Grace Fischer, a sophomore, was coming off a career-best round of 88 on Monday and shot a 103 in the second round for a total of 191. Grace had three pars, seven bogies, four double bogies, and three tough holes.
Sophia Rezac wrapped up her Pirate career with a two-day total of 197 after shooting one of her best rounds of the year with a 94. She had four pars, nine bogies, three double bogies, and one quadruple bogey.
Hannah Brouse, a sophomore, shot a two-day total of 198 after shooting a 94 on Tuesday, 10 strokes better than her first-round score. She had six pars, four bogies, five double bogies, and two triple bogies.
Ava Martin, a seventh-grader, wrapped up her first year of varsity competition with a two-round total of 198 after shooting a second-round 102. She had nine bogies, seven double bogies, one triple, and one quadruple bogey.
Samantha Rezac, a sophomore, shot a two-day total of 213 after a second-day score of 108. She had two pars, two bogies, nine double bogies, four triple bogies, and one quadruple bogey.

BOYS
Kaleb Thingelstad had a solid first nine holes with a four-over par 40. He had six pars, two bogies, and one double-bogey. On the back-nine he shot a 43 with one birdie, two pars, five bogies, and one double bogey. Kaleb finished with an 83 and a two-day total of 164.
