The Crookston Pirate Girls Tennis team has six individuals competing in the Section 8A Girls Tennis Individual Tournament at Courts Plus in Fargo. In singles, Logan Brekken and Lauren Tull are competing. The duos of Emma LaPlante/Chloe Boll and Emelia Hoerner/Ava Martin compete in doubles.
SINGLES-
Logan Brekken beat Mackenzie Lee (TRF) 6-1, 6-3 in the first round. Logan lost to Haley Roberts (Park Rapids) 6-1, 6-3 in the quarterfinals and was eliminated.
Lauren Tull lost to MaKenna Maanum (Park Rapids) 6-4, 6-2 and was eliminated.
DOUBLES –
Emma LaPlante and Chloe Boll started strong by shutting out Isabelle Lehmkuhl and Chloe Philippy (WDC) in the first round with a 6-0, 6-0 victory. In the quarterfinals, they lost to Anna Helling and Brooke Schilling (Parkers Prairie) 1-6, 6-1, 6-3 and were eliminated.
Emelia Hoerner and Ava Martin lost to Rachell Dunham and Lizzie Kennedy (Roseau) 7-5, 7-5 and were eliminated.
