The Crookston Pirate Girls Tennis team received the #2 seed at the Minnesota State High School League State Class A Girls Tennis tournament and will play Providence Academy in the first round on Tuesday, October 22 at Noon in the Reed-Sweatt Family Tennis Center at Minneapolis.
Crookston beat Litchfield 4-3 in a regular-season match this year, and that was the only state tournament team they played head-to-head. Crookston advanced to their second straight state tournament appearance with a 4-3 win over Staples-Motley in the Section 8A Championship for the second straight year.

INDIVIDUAL TENNIS –
Crookston’s Addie Fee and Kaylie Clauson received the #4 seed for the Minnesota State High School League Class A Girls Tennis Doubles tournament, which begins on Thursday, October 24, at Reed-Sweatt Family Tennis Center in Minneapolis.
Fee and Clauson will play Macy Sohre and Kelsey Jaeger of Maple River in the first round at 10:00 AM. The Pirates will either play #5 seed Molly Patten/Emma Knudsen of Litchfield or Tali Bellefy/Meg Santini in the quarter-finals or consolation quarterfinals.
