Crookston youth wrestlers had a busy weekend hitting the mats.
On Friday, January 28, five Crookston youth wrestlers competed in Park Rapids, which was a Jaycee State Qualifier.
Two wrestlers qualified for the state qualifier with Graden Gudvanger finishing first and Briar Gudvangen finishing second place.
Other Crookston place-winners were Jose Contreras and Jaron Knutson finishing third place. Mauricio Arriaga finished fourth.
On Saturday, January 29, three wrestlers competed in Blackduck and Mauricio Arriaga and Jaron Knutson finished second place, while Jose Contreras finished fourth.
Also, on Saturday, there was a group of eight wrestlers that went to Fargo Davies tournament.
Four wrestlers won the championship with Jacob Kresl, Levi Kresl, Oliver Wallace, and Albert Castro. Finishing third place were Aiden Samuelson, Kamden Lessard, and Jett Page. Christopher Goodrich finished fourth.
