Crookston Planning Commission To Consider New Lots Behind Barrette Street

The Crookston Planning Commission will meet on Tuesday, November 13 at 5:00 p.m. in the conference room at City Hall to consider a preliminary plat for development behind the Barrette Street Estates.
Building Official Matt Johnson explains the premise of the hearing. “It’s a public hearing for the neighboring properties and anyone in the city to give comments or ask any questions about the proposed development or sub-division.”
The plat was submitted for review by Bob Herkenhoff with all properties within 350 feet of the proposed development were sent notices by mail.  The plan calls for the development of one or two-family residence on each lot.  This is the first step in the development process, “The planning commission will make a recommendation to the council for their review,” explained Johnson.  “After that there would be the development of a street plan, surveying I’m assuming over the winter and start of work in the spring.”
