At approximately 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, the Crookston Police Department responded to 220 East Third Street, the Care and Share, on a report of a sexual assault. The initial report indicated the assault occurred near that address, in Central Park. Officers located both the male suspect and female victim, who were known to each other, on the Care and Share campus. The 23-year-old female was transported to RiverView Hospital by Crookston Ambulance for an evaluation. The male suspect; Ethan Roy Basche, 24, from Mountain Iron MN, and current resident of the Care and Share, was arrested and transported to the Northwest Regional Correction Center in Crookston and charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct.
