On Thursday, July 12, at approximately 12:20 AM, the Crookston Fire Department, Police Department and Crookston Ambulance were dispatched to 110 Lincoln Ave. for a reported house fire. During the incident, the owner of the residence; Robert Holmes age 65, was acting disorderly and was obstructing the legal process. He was placed under arrest for those offenses and transported to the Northwest Regional Correctional Center. The State Fire Marshal was notified and as a result of the initial investigation, it appears the fire was intentionally started by Holmes. The investigation is on-going, additional charges are possible at a later time; pending a complete review of the incident.
