CROOKSTON POLICE RESPOND TO “FAKE” HOLD UP AT MCDONALDS

On Monday, July 15, at about 7:25 PM the Crookston Police Department responded to McDonald’s on a report of a threat made by a customer in the drive-thru.  The investigation revealed the incident occurred at approximately 6:30 PM.  A gray SUV pulled up to the drive-thru window, the driver was described as a white male in his early 20’s, skinny with lighter colored hair.  The male brandished what appeared to be a handgun and stated:  “Give me all your money, just kidding” and then placed the gun out of sight.  Also in the vehicle was a white female approximately 30 to 40 years old with possibly brown hair.  The transaction was completed and the vehicle left the property.  Although the driver implied the incident was a joke, his actions are still criminal and he could be charged and held accountable.

The investigation continues but the information available is very limited.  The CPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects.  Please call the CPD at 218-281-3111 if you have any information at all.
