Did you know that the Crookston Public Library has not one, but two Book Clubs? The library is proud to welcome readers to its Book Clubs. The Reading by the Red Book Club meets at the library and the After Hours Book Club meets at Drafts Sports Bar & Grill. The meetings are scheduled in alternating months.
The Reading by the Red Book Club, which meets in the library’s River Room on the fourth Tuesday of the month, will read the following titles in 2026:
- January: Anxious People by Fredrik Backman
- March: The Bell in the Lake by Lars Mytting
- May: The Hazelbourne Ladies Motorcycle and Flying Club by Helen Simonson
- July: The Wedding People by Alison Espach
- September: The Quiet Librarian by Allen Eskens
- November: Crow Talk by Eileen Garvin (Held the third Thursday of the month)
The Books & Brews Book Club meets off-site at Drafts Sports Bar & Grill on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. Appetizers are provided by the Friends of the Crookston Public Library; participants are responsible for the cost of any additional food and all drinks. All adults are welcome to attend. The Books & Brews Book Club will read the following titles in 2026:
- February: Mother Daughter Murder Night by Nina Simon
- April: Poetry Month Reader’s Pick! Read a book of poetry or bring a poem to share
- June: Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
- August: Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green
- October: North Woods by Daniel Mason
