Dear Parents and Families,
As we look ahead to the frigid weather forecasted for the next few days, we want to share an update regarding school operations for the Crookston Public Schools.
At this time, our school will run on a normal schedule and will be in session. We understand and respect the concerns families may have when temperatures are extremely cold. After careful review, we believe we can safely transport students and operate our schools as scheduled.
We encourage you to use the district’s bus quest app to monitor when your child’s bus is approaching. This can help limit the amount of time students are outside waiting in cold conditions.
Please remember that parents and guardians always have the final decision on whether their child attends school on any given day. We fully respect family decisions.
We are making this determination now so families can plan accordingly, as the forecast shows no significant fluctuation in temperatures over the coming days through the weekend.
Regarding activities and events, we will continue to work with participating schools and organizations. Any necessary updates or adjustments to activities will be communicated as they are finalized.
Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff. Please ensure students are dressed appropriately for winter conditions.
Sincerely,
Randy Bruer
Interim Superintendent Crookston Public Schools
