On Wednesday, January 6, the Crookston Rotary Club awarded Crookston High School students Isabelle Smith and Carter Coauette with their Student of the Month plaques. They will also be awarded a scholarship in May at the Crookston High School Triple A Banquet.
January Student of the Month – Isabelle Smith
Family: Angie and Nathan Smith; siblings Lucy, Beau, and Penelope
Church: Trinity Lutheran Church
Sports: Tennis, Basketball, and Track
Music: Trumpet in band, Violin and Viola in orchestra
School: President of Student Council, LEO Club
Hobbies: Music, sports (esp tennis) and reading
Free time: Hang out with friends
Plans after graduation: attend Concordia College in Moorhead – pursue a degree in pre-med
February Student of the Month – Carter Coauette
Family: Andy Coauette, sister Charlee, grandparents Suzie and Randy Coauette
Church: Cathedral Church
Sports: Football, Wrestling, and Baseball
School: Leo Club, Help with youth wrestling
Hobbies: Being with friends and family
Free time: Attend sporting events to cheer on friends and sister
Plans after graduation: Attend Minot State University to study Business and play Football. Eventually, come back to Crookston to farm.
