The Crookston School Board met on Monday morning to hold their annual reorganization meeting. The board reelected the same officers including Frank Fee as chair, Adrianne Winger will return as the Clerk and Tim Dufault as the Treasurer. “It’s the same officers of the School Board for this year and we appreciate the faith the rest of the board has given us to lead them for another year,” said Crookston School Board Chair Frank Fee.
School Board members also received their committee assignments and Fee said first-year board member Mike Theis will step into an important role on both the Finance/Long-Range Planning Committee and Negotiations Committee. “Towards the end of last year, we put a feeler out to the board members about the committee assignments that they were on and if anybody wanted to change to something else,” said Fee. “Everybody felt comfortable with the committees they were on. We did have a hole to fill – first Kari Miller, then Nick Nicholas took over – and Mike Theis has agreed to take over two standing committee assignments. The first one, negotiations, we sure appreciate Mike to come on board with Tim Dufault and myself. That’s a very important committee, a lot of work goes into it. Also, Mike has agreed to be on the Finance/Long-Ranging Planning Committee again with Tim and myself. We sure appreciate a new board member being willing to be on those two committees. And then everybody else is on the same committees they were this past year.
The School Board also designated Rust, Stock & Rusts P.A; and Ratwik, Roszak & Maloney P.A. as the official law firms. The official media outlets were set as KROX Radio and the Crookston Times. School board meetings were also set as the fourth Monday of the month for January through November, and the second Monday of December.
