CROOKSTON SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS HEALTH & SAFETY MEASURES MONDAY NIGHT

The Crookston School Board will meet on Monday night at 5:00 p.m. inside the Crookston High School Choir/Orchestra room. The meeting will begin with a featured program to acknowledge the top Read-A-Thon Students from the Highland Read-A-Thon Fundraiser. It will be presented by Highland Principal Chris Trostad, and no action will be taken by the school board.

The Consent Agenda will include approval of the regular meeting minutes from October 25, and the special meeting minutes from November 8. The Consent Agenda will also include approval of current bills in the amount of $224,259.76. There will also be several Personnel items on the Consent Agenda. There will be the acceptance of a resignation from Melissa Palomo as a Paraprofessional from Crookston High School, acceptance of a letter of resignation from Katya Zepeda de Obisakin, as the Hispanic/Latin Liaison, approving the employment of Kenneth Ortiz as a Crookston High School Custodian, approving the employment of Mariah Christian as Paraprofessional at Crookston High School, and approving a Master Agreement with the Instructional Assistants for 2021-2024. The Consent Agenda will also include accepting a donation from the Pirates Fine Arts Boosters (PFAB)

The Main Agenda will include approval of a Bond Sale ratifying the refunding of general obligation bonds, approval for a Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) membership, and approval of recommended changes in the District Academic calendar year for 2022-2023. The Main Agenda will also include approval for purchasing window decals at Highland Elementary School, Discussion on Middle School/Preschool planning, and reviewing and discussing Covid-19 Health & Safety Measures for the School District.

The meeting will end with Administrative Reports from Crookston High School Principal Nicki Martinez, Highland Elementary School Principal Chris Trostad, and Washington School Principal Denice Oliver. Crookston Public Schools Superintendent Jeremy Olson will also give a report.

The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend.
