Crookston School Board to meet Monday, June 23

The Crookston School Board will meet on Monday, June 23 at 5:00 p.m. at the Highland School Large Group room.

In the consent agenda, the board will be asked to approve the May 19 meeting minutes, and current bills. The board will also be asked to accept a resignation letter from Kindergarten teacher Megan Wright. The board will also be asked to approve the employment of Lisa Conzemius as Middle School Principal, Christina Zimmerman as a kindergarten teacher, Rachel Thompson as a special education teacher at Highland School, and approve a status change of Heather Rosu from a preschool aide to paraprofessional.
The board will also be asked to accept the following donations – $500 from the Crookston Running Club for boys and girls track equipment, $277 from the Crookston Eagles Auxiliary and $250 from the Minnesota Association of the FFA to the FFA program, $1,192 from the Crookston Masonic Lodge and $100 from Judy Ellingson for the Sixth Grade Itasca State Park field trip, $12,000 from the June Shaver Endowment for the June Shaver scholarships, and $1,000 from Red Lake Electric Coop for scholarships.

The main agenda includes approving the Solar for Schools program, with Anna Peterson presenting to the board. They will be asked to approve the 2025-26 school year final budget, approve Superintendent Randy Bergquist as the Official with Authority for the district, membership with the Minnesota State High School League, and membership with the Minnesota School Board Association.

The board will wrap up with reports from Food Service Director Emily Scheresky, and Superintendent Randy Bergquist.
